Gyprock Plasters

Gyprock is a leading manufacturer of gypsum based products. It supplies a comprehensive range of high performance products and systems for many applications to meet fire, acoustic and thermal requirements. Its products include- plasterboards, cornice, tiles, adhesives and sealants, tapes, jointing compounds, specialty plasters, DIY products, and other construction accessories.

Here are some of the Gyprock Specialty Plasters:

• Hardwall Plaster is usually applied over cement render or concrete to provide a smooth finish for painting or decoration. It is easy to trowel making initial application and finishing easier. It is typically used in both residential and commercial construction as a finishing coat in preparation for painting. When used with hydrated lime putty, a high gloss finish is produced which can be waxed to create a decorative finish.

• One Finish is a pre-mixed acrylic compound designed to create a uniform surface on interior plasterboard or fibre cement walls and ceilings affected by critical lighting conditions. It reduces the difference in porosity, texture and sheen between board and jointing compound, to create a uniform white surface ready for decoration. It is rolled or sprayed directly onto the wall or ceiling, eliminating the need for trowel application.

• Casting Plaster is used for the manufacture of plasterglass, fibre-reinforced plaster sheets, cornice and general casting applications. This plaster is grit free and produces a strong moulded product with a clean cast face. It is typically used in both residential and commercial construction to create custom details in both ceilings and walls. It is also used in general casting work due to its simple ‘mix and pour’ process.

• Superfine Plaster is used for joint finishing of fibre-reinforced plaster sheets, plasterglass, cast plaster cornices, as well as general casting applications. This plaster is grit free. Its superfine particle size makes it ideal for fine work including finishing cornice mitres and joints.

• Plaster Accelerator speeds up the setting times of gypsum based compounds such as Base Coat, Cornice Cement and other specialty plasters, to help get the job done quicker.

• Gyprock Pottery Plaster is used for the manufacture of moulds for sanitary ware as well as for general casting applications. This plaster is grit free with a short setting time and is ideal for toilet and wash basin moulds.
